Hephaestion Christopoulos

Hephaestion Christopoulos è un ex ingegnere diventato traduttore ed editor per professione e uno scrittore e musicista per passione. Non sa mai chi e quanti potrebbero apprezzare le sue storie o la sua musica, ma le scrive comunque. E sembra che ultimamente abbia iniziato ad avere un certo successo con la sua scrittura.
In greco ha pubblicato due raccolte di racconti, mentre la terza è di prossima pubblicazione presso la più antica e una delle più prestigiose case editrici greche (Hestia), una delle più importanti per quanto riguarda la letteratura locale. Ha anche pubblicato racconti in diverse antologie e riviste letterarie. Di tanto in tanto si cimenta anche con l’inglese; la sua novella A Precambrian Discourse on Filipassianism è stata recentemente pubblicata da Raven Canticle Press e in italiano da Ringworld sci-fi&fantasy col titolo Lettera precambriana ai seguaci di Filippo. I suoi racconti sono stati pubblicati anche in inglese, turco e italiano. Il suo racconto The Carthage Pendulum sarà incluso nella prima antologia Galaxy’s Edge , prevista per il 2025.
Vive ad Atene con cinque donne, tre delle quali sono pelose e una è specializzata in urla che spaccano i timpani. Tutte loro sono adorabili. È anche l’attuale vicepresidente del Science Fiction Club di Atene (alef.org.gr).

Hephaestion Christopoulos is a former engineer turned translator and editor by profession, and a writer and musician by passion. He can never be sure who and how many might like his stories – or his music, for that matter – but he writes them anyway. And it seems that lately he’s started having some success with his writing.
In Greek he has published two short story collections, while his third is forthcoming from the oldest and one of the most venerable publishing houses in Greece (Hestia), and one of the major players when it comes to local literature. He also has stories in several anthologies and literary magazines. He also tries his hand at English from time to time; his novella A Precambrian Discourse on Filipassianism was recently published by Raven Canticle Press, while there is also an Italian version from Ringworld sci-fi&fantasy. Stories of his have also been published in English, Turkish and Italian. His story The Carthage Pendulum will be included in the first Galaxy’s Edge anthology, expected sometime in 2025.
He lives in Athens with five women, three of whom are furry and one a specialist in ear-splitting screams. All of them are adorable. He is also the current vice-chairman of the Science Fiction Club of Athens (alef.org.gr).
